WOULD LOVE TO FIND SOME PEOPLE WHO ENJOY EXPLORING THE WILDS OF WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS. IDEALLY PEOPLE WHO DONT MIND FINDING NOTHING, WHICH IS WHAT I DO MOSTLY... LOL BUT EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE THIS TYPE OF PERSISTENCE PAYS OFF IN WAYS THAT MAKE IT WELL WORTH THE TIME SPENT IN NATURE. LETS SHARE RESEARCH AND ADVENTURE!

I seem to be good at finding nothing. I’ve not been on a good streak lately.
A little to far south. Hope you find someone.
I HEAR THAT!! LOL WE DO LOVE THE ADVENTURE! NOTHING BETTER THAN FINDING A VERY SMALL UNMOLESTED CABIN SITE.. . FOUND TWO OR THREE LAST YEAR. AND I GOT A BUNCH OF POSSIBLES PINNED FOR THIS YEAR... FUNNY PART IS MOST OF THE ONES I DO FIND ARE INCIDENTAL, AND NOTHING TO DO WITH MY PINS OTHER THAN BEING IN THE SAME WOODS

"BUSHWHACKING VERY SMALL EARLY SETTLER SITES"

This is me, this is all I do...but in western Pennsylvania. Like you state "small" sites, like no more than 20'x20' - and loaded with coppers, buttons, buckles, lead, and other various relics (and lots of iron of course). Sometimes I spend weeks/months swinging without digging much or anything at all. Research will get me to a particular area, then the coil hits the ground until I find what I'm after or realize its time to move on. BUT, once you find that site it all pays off.

I'm in the Bristol, CT area usually once a year to visit in-laws. I'll let you know next time I'm in the area. I wouldn't mind a day trip to meet up and detect (plus it gets me away from the in-laws for a bit:laughing:).

Good luck and be safe out there.

I would like to head up there sometime I am about 1.5 away. I do some backpacking so I could camp and make it an adventure. My girlfriend lives in Chickopee

Welcome to Wild Bunch Bushwhack Club (WBBC for short) , I echo the thoughts of my fellow bushwhackers, seems we want the thrill of researching old sites, possibly venturing where others haven't gone before, figuring out methods to get at the finds. At the end of the day usually we only leave with a smile and grubby trash and stinky clothes, though finds are rare, they trend on being relics, both unique and old. Some of my best finds were in rough places like these. Good luck and have fun!
