What's your favorite White's detector

I am going to say the V3I.
That being said most peoples problems with it was their own doing.
The thing I could never understand was I found more silver with the MXT and more Gold with the V3i. I sure would have thought it would be the other way around. I'm not complaining though. But I agree, That the V3i was a special machine that I never fully got the hang of.

My favorite was the Eagle 2 SL. Some of my best finds were with this detector. CS tongue, 1776 2 Reale are just a few. Had the DFX, Blue and Gray, MXT. The MXT proved to be the next best of these three. My brother still uses the MXT.

I never owned a v3i but a guy I used to hunt with had one and that screen was wonderful. Even though I had an Etrac at the time I always wondered how well the v3i did the mf thing.

Loved my DFX until it went to overload mode. Hung it up after trying a few things and went with a NOX 800. The DFX was killer at the beaches here in Puget sound.

When I hit newer parks and tot lots for clad and jewelry I will use my Treasure Pro. Easy to use, light weight, 2 batteries and it does just fine. For going in the woods and older properties I'll use my MX7 with the 6-1/2" Detech coil. Machine is heavy so I can't swing it for a long period of time unfortunately.

When I got my first MT I was going to get the DFX and the guy at the whites store said not to. I was surprised and said I was ok with the price and wanted a good machine. He said that it would be better to buy a new M6 instead as I was new at detecting and it might be to much for me to learn. And I could always come back and upgrade. I think he did me a favor. I really liked the M6 and still have it at home. Found tons of great stuff with it. So he was right about that and got a customer for the rest of the time whites was around.

Just wondering what it would be like finding white's detectors?Anyone have a favorite Whites detector from all of them? When are the Garrett folks coming out with a remake whites detector? :chaplin:
My 6000 di pro sl with tone mod makes a great detector even better

I found more small rings with my XLT than any of my other detectors. I have and use my V3i when I need to really eliminate a lot of different targets. The V3i is much heavier than my DEUS II, but the aftermarket battery holder and 18650 batteries helps out with reducing the weight and keeping me swinging it.

"the aftermarket battery holder and 18650 batteries"

That is how my V3i has been set up like for a long time.

The V3i was/is the best detector ever built. I will use mine until I can't swing a detector at all. Garrett would be smart if they kept the circuits updated and brought out a revised, smaller and more powerful CPU model of it.
