What does everyone do for a living?

What do I do, or have done?

Work life: Self employed electronics tech & computer manufacturers' rep. Overlay my work life with 40 years of active/reserve Air Force/Army time. In the military I was an aircraft mechanic, crew chief, flight engineer & communications electronics tech in the Atlas/Titan missile programs, battalion level communications electronics maintenance.
I am now semi-retired and in the used office furniture business until I sell the property it is in.

Systems architect, programmer and database admin guy at a Big-10 university. Wish I had more time for this hobby. As it is, I need to sneak out before/after work or during lunch.

I'm SUPPOSED to be retired but my buddy asked me to help out with his business. I'm the parts manager for an oilfield maintenance company and I work 45-55 hrs per week!:(

I work in Florida as a Public Insurance adjuster, which means we work for the people against the insurance company to get the clients the maximum money on their insurance claims.....

Wow... could have used you here. My roof was hail damaged on August 2nd. Their adjuster told me it is totaled but that the company had to let me know if they were going to cover it. August 31 they finally told me that they will cover it and are sending me a check for $4,400! The roof is going to cost about $10,000. Called them and they told me that the $4,400 is the cash value but that, if I fixed it, they would pay just over $8,000. (Of course I am going to fix it!) Still arguing with them about the total. House is only 5 years old and has a 30 year roof.

Anyway... I guess the point of this response is that I think it is great that you advocate for the home owners. This is the first claim I have ever had and feel like they are trying to take advantage of me.

Oh... I suppose I should say what I do too. I'm responsible for the warehouses and truck fleet for a frozen food company.

Job ?...........I'm from Michigan!

I used to be a supervisor at some of Acument's manufacturing and distribution plants until the US economy took a dive. One by one they closed or consolidated plants until the plant I worked at was closed permanently.

I live on a lake and fish or take my pontoon boat down the Chain of Lakes.

Soon I'll have to find a new job(30 years at my old one)
I'm just on idle til the economy improves.
