Weighty Find ...

Good to see you were able to get out. Congrats on the platinum, silver and other goodies. Hopefully your next hunt will be sooner. Good luck, Mark

Congrats on that sweet find Craig!

Thanks Charlie...

Thanks Mark... winter is my hunting season even though it was probably a fresh drop from this season I rather have old gold... ;)

My goodness Craigie, that's an incredible hit đź‘Ť I can't recall such a heavy Platinum.

its my heaviest plat... the biggest I had before this one was 13.6 grams.. the other 4 plat rings were smaller...

Sand seems to be moving around at least where I am hunting... my work is almost done once that happens I'll start hunting more..

Especially when the wife goes to Colombia I'll have 2 weeks of freedom

Earl.....I had no clue!! Craig is a Man Of Mystery to all of us!

I can only imagine his 2 weeks alone.. Freedom..
His 2 weeks are going to be very busy. Moving all her stuff into storage and changing the locks...

NICE one boss, 15 grams of goodness in a year and a half probably ties me with all my hunts in the same time period!:lol::lol:

Nice job on those rings, Craig. :woot: I've only been able to get out a couple times this year as well. :mder:

Thanks Zee... You have been up here Zee... those beaches we saw each other on... I couldn't go there it was off limits to out of towners because of Covid... my beaches were closed same reason... I had a business to do and take care of my elderly mom... those were my priorities.

My MXT its my go to detector it likes bottle caps as well but I only hunt private properties so I rarely deal with a lot of park type trash... I have no wants to hunt parks...

Take a look at my old thread on the MXT Craig. If I recall, I had something in that thread to let the MXT know when it's a bottle cap. :D

A very nice find Craig. Plat is hard to find. I noticed after time your finds have changed from really old stuff to now. Do you see a difference? Seems to me the real old stuff is fewer. You used to dig up some targets centuries old. Maybe your sand is thicker like here. Nothing is being found here that was not dropped yesterday, it just sinks. No storms to erode so the sand is really thick.

Nice chunk of Plat! Think i have only been out 6 times all year? Luckily i got two 14k in one hunt or i would be skunked for the year:shock:

Thanks Rudy I remember it but I only hunt private properties so bottle caps and pulltabs are not a big issue for me but I prefer to use the MXT and then try my new detector for anything I miss...

Yes I do Greg and thanks... this ring was a fresh drop at a beach that I have pulled loads of old silver and old gold from over the years... I did notice the mid slope was getting ground down to clay one more storm and the clay should become exposed... might not be anything left it it but I will go over it from different directions and at a snails pace...

There is more old gold out there it just will take more time and energy to find it...

Thanks Larry... I promise you I'll send that thing out to you this week... been swamped with leaf clean ups and this probate court nonsense...

Taking care of your mom and business are not always the most fun but they are the most important.
How long did they have them closed to out of towners?

At least a year... Captain Silver says all those spots we hunted are sanded in but I know others are still finding a few things like my friend Robert...

I have plenty of spots here to keep me busy so I will stay closer to home...
