Figured I'd give it a shot short notice and all but I'm gonna be up parking my van home at a friends cabin for some peaceful R&R in the mountains this Tuesday /Wednesday 3/26&3/27 gonna detect around the property and then might try some door knocking in town as it was founded in 1798, swinging the public pool/park , thinking of trying at tioga-hammond recreational area since i checked the .gov site and nothing came up saying no to MD'ing and it was all farm land till early 1980's

Thanks guys i sent a message to a winery after checking out their fb page ....it's in a 200 yr old on 100 acres that was once all farmland but now grown up woods ....unfortunately i got a No Thank You after i offered any and all relics to them in displays cleaned free of charge to them .

Cool. Sounds like a relaxed hunt to me. Hope to see some goodies from this hunt. GL&HH
weather wasn't the greatest couldn't even get up to the cabin i was going to park at due to mud ruts that would've sunk my 1 wheel drive van . got a few clad pieces and garbage galore i got as much at Tioga-Hammond rec area in about 2 hours then I got in the last few months at my local parks . As soon as I get the chance i will be posting a pic of a horseshoe i found ..huge biggest i've ever seen must been a baby dino-horse

Probably Clydesdale. We took a trip to the Budweiser farm in NH. and they had a display of their horse equipment and on the wall of one of the barns there was two shoes. One a regular horseshoe and one that the draft team horses wear. It was like seeing a go-cart next to a Humvee. They are huge for sure.
