And yep, it is an Indian Head Large Head but unfortunately, the reverse is where the date would be but someone probably beat the hell out of this coin in the past. LOL at least the obverse is still kind of still there to be able to identify it. Phew.

Oh definitely. I was having second thoughts if I should unroll it or preserve how I found it. I was also afraid I might break it since it's been folded like that for the longest time. In the end, seeing a beautiful coin like this open is probably best.

It will definitely e harder to top this now. Haha yeah, spent another half hour in the same area. What's cool though is that I found an 1895 barber half dollar with a bullet shot not more than 15 feet away last year. And I thought that would be my favorite find ever. Nope, this just beat that.
