Sorry,have dumb question

Just happen to order a coil cover for my at-pro.I received the coil cover,but it appeared to be warped .Hmmm,tried several ways to straighten the cover ,but no luck.So,I strap plastic ties (4) around the cover over the coil.They are tight and firm ,but will it hinder the operation of the coil

The ties shouldn't make a difference. How's the weather in your area? A great way we move plastics in my work is to leave them outside on a sunny hot day and let them soften up and lay flat again.

It was tight had to force it on the cover then it would pop up on other places .I was thinking it might break if use to much force .

Its in the 90's might try laying out the cover.If this does not work will go back to the plastic ties.

Getting the coil cover and coil warmed up should help.

How did you try snapping on the cover? Snapping it on one end, then trying to snap it on the other end doesn't work so well, because you can get something like a "ripple" in the coil cover between those far away areas.

Get the cover in place and snap it on in one area. Then start snapping it in from that area.

Yep,started from the front and work down, but it kept opening up.

Well, hallelujah all this time the detector has been inside my home.So,I was going outside due to the 95 degree outside. I started nipping off the plastic ties and" BEHOLD A MIRACLE" the coil cover was on there perfect.
Well, enough with that now I have to handle my same second hernia operation. I will be Tuesday ,but at the same time have to stop my therapy on my left shoulder which is have gone.Will start again after operation.So much fun when you are an old fart
