Yes, a 1700s watch winder. The other side is pretty cool also.

That's pretty funny! This is actually a 10th or 11th century horseshoe. I like how the blacksmith's hammer marks are still very visible. It's made of very high-grade iron and had almost no rust! The cleanup/preservation was quite easy on this one.

Very nice. What are the buttons with the horse on them?

They are tombac buttons engraved with a prancing horse design. We only ever find these in Bavaria and southern Germany. They are definitely my favorite tombac buttons to find!
