Root slayer.

The root slayer was slayed by a root. I was surprised how easily this snapped in half. I wasn't even leaning into it or anything.

I use the 31 inch root slayer and it has been crazy durable along with the being the best root cutter I have used. I have used it to pry stuff that I shouldn't have but it has never broke or bent. Sorry your luck hasn't been as good.

Sorry to hear this. Those are pretty tough. Probably a heat-treating issue. It was probably hardened but failed to do a drawback annealing to take out the brittleness.
