Here's my 2000 SLT 4.7ltr ext cab.
It get's good mileage 18~24mpg(10 if I put my foot in it)
Got lucky and made it to 123,000 before it threw & ate 1 of the clutch plate clip's in the diff!
Dropped a new Auburn LSD unit & gear set into it and am back to 2 wheel peel!]

Well it runs like a top. Now just fix the hole in the Y pipe that the front shaft made and get another transfer case and she is set.

No pics but my main vehicle is my 2002 VW Jetta, because it gets 43 mpg with the diesel motor. If I have to go into some rougher area, then it is my 2004 Dodge Ram 2500, also with a diesel (25 mpg hwy). By the way, can you tell I prefer diesel???

am I the only one who drives a POS? you guys all have nice cars and trucks...those days went away 16 years ago when I settled down. now I drive a 89 Silverado ext.cab 8ft box with cap, complete with NY RUST.

I figured that I would resurrect an old thread with an update of my latest finished project/MD'ing machine. Back in Feb, I bought this old worn out 69 VW Bug and in a little over 5 weeks, did a complete body off resto. Since finishing it, I have put nearly 12,000 miles on it and drive it everyday. It is much better on gas than the old Jeep.

here my baby, bought it new, 2004 chevy avalanche z71, sitting on 24" Jesse James .357 wheels and all chromed out. It was nice to keep all my gear in back locked up and safe. I miss it as I had to sell it due to a divorce and needed money to keep the house behind it last year. still have the boat thats hooked to it but that will probably have to go in spring for same reason. now I drive a 2000 lumina, Its more inportant to keep a roof over my kids heads and I can get another truck later on.

Sounds a bit like me bud....I had to sell my babies for many similar reasons which the 69 Judge funded my way to Florida. It really made me mad at the time,
but in the end...I am much happier and am now married to a wonderful Marine!! Between her and I, we have 6 wonderful kids, 2 dogs and 2 horses. I'll get another GTO someday, heck I may use all of my MD'ing finds to help pay for it.
