Been trying to see these for over 30 years. Last night did not disappoint. A good old check off of the bucket list.

Beautiful! Thank you for sharing your photos! I think yours are clearer and more vivid than mine. :thumbsup:

My siblings & I saw them that night, too. We drove about 10 minutes from home to an open stretch of country highway, where the sky arches over the farm fields. To the naked eye, the hues were grayish or greenish-white, very natural-looking; although occasionally we could discern soft hints of green or red, which the camera captured rather nicely. There were changing streaks, subtle curtains, and flares of light, and a couple of times the rays climaxed above our heads in a way that resembled the shape of an eagle (with the use of imagination). Watching the sky stretch above us in a panoply of light and motion was simply marvelous!
