I am a metal detectorist who and I recently recovered a Phoenix small ball button.
I have read the writings of Strong and Sprague on the subject but have not found any discoveries on the East coast
Has anyone heard of East coast finds
Thanks

If you've read the work of Sprague , as you say, then you'd know that they get found on the east coast too. But .... mostly as lone flukes. Ie.: Not as much as they show up on the west coast.

And : I see you've found the rarity chart article I wrote years ago. Have you found your exact button on there ?

Love those phoenix buttons ! Thanx for sharing . What state did you find yours in ? And : the ball phoenix buttons are the the highly sought after type (in my book). I've only ever found 4 or 5 ball P.Bs, as opposed to probably 200 regular/flat PB's by now.

Oh, now I see that you found the entry for your exact button. THE RAREST RATING !! Wow ! If you're interested in selling it, let me know. And I'll steer you to a potential buyer.
