New Garrett

WE need a waterproof PI , not a pick single frequency detector , nor yet another VLF multi Freq. detector , take a trip to Mars- Fire planet with E. Musk , by the time you return , your thoughts might be clearer :takeoff::lol:
My God... how many non-use PIs do you need? You are killing me.... I am starting a Go Fund me page for my knee... I don't need any money but you seem to like to spend it on things you don't need so feel free to send me money please..

Updating my prediction on the new Garrett detector:

It will be a submersible SMF priced around the 900. Features will be:

1) A beautiful, color, landscape oriented (yay!) screen with a very intuitive and simple to use interface.

2) Made of ultralight, but strong material.

3) A standout feature that will sound great in advertisements but will be gimmicky in practice.

4) SMF range will be from 2 khz to 100 khz. The SMF weighting will be selectable, and there will be 8 selectable single frequencies.

4) Some sort of AI integration (might be related to #3)
I have owned one Garrett and I know they have followers who are successful with them but I never could get into them once I tried a Minelab detector... my pulse machines were Whites, everything else ML.

Minelab sure set some standards with their technology, but I'm glad they no longer have a monopoly in this in this hobby. In a way though, they still kind of do, because most (if not all), of the newer SMF detectors are using Multi-IQ from the original Nox.

The SMF market is flooded, so Garrett is going to need something special for their new detector to stand out from the pack. Then again, many Americans will buy it regardless, because it's made in America.

I'm still waiting to see what SMF has done for me, but that is another discussion.

If Garrett puts out a detector on par with the top three I'll buy it simply because Garrett has always been a solid reliable detector for me for many years. That and I would prefer an American made detector. Not that I don't like across the pond models, but that the American made detectors are designed to deal with the needs of American detectorists.

Since you have already pounded your sites with FBS and/or BBS, then I can't see how Multi-IQ SMF is going to get you any more finds. FBS/BBS is outstanding in mild ground, but it's my understanding that Multi-IQ is significantly better in mid to highly mineralized ground. CP, you've got mild ground, correct?

Correct! I have a few sites with high iron contamination, but for the most part my sites are mild. High trash is a problem at the city park, but I don't see where SMF is going to do much for me in that condition.

Garrett is going to need some major changes to be on-par ergonomically with the Deus. I still rate my Deus 1 above the new models, other than the Deus 2 of course.

Garrett needs to put out a low price gold detector for a beach  with better sound than the apex.
When I first saw all these new SMF models I just knew they were targeting the beach hunters. Not that I don't think that is a great idea, but it doesn't seem to bring much for the non-beach hunters. I guess some people seem to be seeing some use in highly mineralized ground.

At least you have under 10 dust collectors

There are plenty of cases where 6 cylinder and even 4 bangers are absolutely destroying Mustangs. Small and BBs either way depending on how they are setup can all beat each other. True drag style racing is from a dead stop. Not when your cruising at 60. That's a different type of race. Videos I see that are sick are with the souped up Tesla. And I've seen 1 on our streets and it was a sight to behold.
That’s why you buy a GT500, with the 805hp tune, like mine. It’s the one on the right 😉 , next to my AC Cobra and GT40. (The hood isn’t shut all the way, because of the battery tender.)

Nice! A lot of coinage showing there.

When I was working I had a 2012 Shelby with Super Snake upgrades. It had all but the 15% bottom Whipple pulley, so it was actually producing 740 HP and not the full 800 HP. I found that 740 HP was plenty in my neck of the woods.

I'm not into hi-perf cars like I used to be. Not many places you can really open up those cars on without worrying about a speed trap or something. But I know I showed my dad's recent purchase of his 23' Jailbreak 717hp car. He had so many problems with his 2017 , I don't get it. But he loves his new one anyways. But they are all high maintenance $$$. So with only 600 miles on it the front turn signal light went out. The dealership had to take off the whole front grill to change it out. Where it sat for 3 days....View attachment 592473

Oh that is sick ! If it's the color I'm thinking of it's 1 of my favorites. You gotta show some pics when you get a chance. Congratulations

Wow....congrats Earl! I bought a new Mustang Wednesday. Grabber Blue EcoBoost Premium. Decided to go the MPG route instead of the HP route. Turbo charged 4 banger 315 HP..... 22 city 33 highway...0-60 in 4.8 seconds, plenty fast for me!

Congrats. One thing Dodge did right was keep that classic Challenger look. I'm not a Dodge fan, but I see one coming down the road I can't tell if it is new or 50 years old.

The milk / calcium / bone thing, is a lie started by the dairy industry. In fact, cultures that consume very little to no dairy, have few (if any) issues with osteoporosis. The highest rates of osteoporosis are in cultures with the highest dairy consumption.

I'm heading out now, but I'll elaborate on that later.
Totally agree......I haven't had milk since I was a little kid and I eat very little cheese. I'm 78, quite active, and have never had a broken bone in my life.

Well congrats , you saved on INSURANCE , & gas , I don't travel much , so it's a joy ride car , glad I didn't get the Hellcat as it was high enough for just a Scat Pack Plus , minus a sun roof , it's pretty much loaded 8 speed auto with the paddles on the steering if you want to shift- with a line lock & launch- & assist , Thats what they are doing now , if not electric , 4 bangers with turbos, or super chargers , I elected just for the 6.4 liter hemi at 485hp & 475 torque , 392 , wish it was the 426 hemi from the old days , but that only happened to be available as a crate 1000hp for 30k , anyway I couldn't see a Hellcat 6.2 liter pumped up with super chargers with more issues down the road for 30k more , I did like the jeep 392 , but they have them priced like a hellcat , besides my old clone Roadrunner 383 30 over , this should be a fun ride , enough for me anyway without killing myself  , got the gray , so I don't stick out like a sore thumb :police: low key  The dealer said Electric 2024 , and electric hybrid thereafter for Dodge , so I snatched Last Call 2023 & will be happy with it , if not , this motor can be pumped up to out run a Hellcat , Earl
