Need button ID

I dug this button in a park in Providence, RI the other day. It does not have any benchmark that I can see. Is it civilian or military?

Its eagle is surrounded by 13 stars, he's clutching an anchor above 3 canon balls. The penny is for scale but it's a little treasure in itself. I got this 43 steel wheatie in change at the coffee shop on Friday.

That's an old US navy button. Pre-1941 as the eagle faces left.

hello BKM its military navy , if you can post a picture of the back . sometimes the backs give you a better info on the age than the front , but it looks like NA114 in alberts book just after 1850 . very nice button congrats.Dan
