There's a movie with a detecting tie-in on GAF channel called Just In Time - looks like it debuted yesterday (3/26/24). It's a Christian-based film, and the plot centers around a somewhat mysterious detectorist finding a gold watch with the telephone number of the husband and wife who are the lead characters. I confe after five minutes I skipped to the detecting part. I'm from Kansas so admittedly don't know much about beach detecting, but the guy is just a few feet from the water's edge (lake beach i think) swinging his coil several inches above the surface of the lake, and when he gets a signal he reaches down with a trowel-type hand digger, gets his target in one stroke, and drops it into a SAND SCOOP 
- when he finds the watch he manages to pull it out with it encircling the digger. Maybe the best part is he tucks the wet yucky digger into the waistband of his pants after each dig. The detector also looks to be either super basic or vintage, the coil is a round UFO-shaped thing. May be a fine movie but it's like they ordered some various detecting equipment but didn't research how it was actually used. BTW the detecting lasted maybe 1 to 2 minutes, only dug two items.
