More Hints About A New Garret Release

Brushing really close to April 1st, anyone hear any news yet? Garrett makes a damn fine metal detector, if they could create something that can at least hang with other top models I'd seriously consider purchasing from them again. The last 2 major hobby metal detectors from garrett were meh at best, so I'm hoping they really crush this one.

You got me thinking it could be a competitor behind the Russian video so there's a let down when it comes out and doesn't have all those features or maybe you're right it is stormy trying to make money as she ages out of the porn industry

Like everything else these days.......it will probably end up in front of the supreme court. I hope all the competitors refrain from taking shots at the judges and prosecuters. There perhaps should have been a gag order on the first mention of Garrett's new release. What is our metal detector community turning into? :sissyfight:

Except if the judge is Fani and she pays with cash. It's not gonna end well for her.

Definitely looks like an Apex style screen, but that is not an Apex coil as far as I am aware. Must be The Storm.
 
It looks like a typical 8.5 by 11 Garrett coil but i'm still thinking it will be blue where the Apex is yellow although there will probably be a camo Jase version.
 
That arm cuff is camo. No idea if that is the Storm or not though.

I'm quite interested to see what Garrett has. I'm not in the market for another VLF, and if I was, right now it would be the D2. So this Garrett probably won't move me to buy. But, if I was looking to buy a new VLF machine, didn't want to spend Manticore or D2 money, liked simple and easy, I'd probably hold off a bit to see how this shakes out.

If it turns out to be a Manticore, D2 beater, I'll be surprised and I'll be buying one. My next machine is almost certainly going to be a PI though.

There's a video on the prospecting forum that shows what looks like an axiom based detector with a viper coil i sent the video to a guy in the film industry to see if it's photoshopped but if real it looks exactly like the Russian guy was saying

Thanks for the info, So the new Storm may be a molded Axiom! For less cash???!!! I may buy one? Will need to see reviews.đź‘Ť
 
That video showing what could be the Storm is not from Garrett.

Axiom and Apex are not waterproof and nothing I see in those images makes believe that there is any waterproofing in that setup.

I am assuming that the Storm is an SMF detector with full waterproofing.

The video stated that the Storm weigh 2.65 pounds as was suggested by the information in the Russian video. My Axiom weighs 4.25 pounds even with its smallest coil.

There is no way that Garrett is going to release a game changing SMF detector that weighs over 4 lbs when Deus 2 and the Manticore weigh less than 3 lbs.

Who knows. Maybe we’ll find out soon.

It for sure will be way cheaper than the Axiom i'm not sure if the pictures are real check it out on the prospector forum and tell me if you think it's real
 
Will be interesting to eventually see the unit.
You know. I wouldn’t be surprised to see this unit have a deeper waterproof rating than most of the competition.
Why do I say this?
Deus 2 remote design. It’s really not that complicated. Seems to be more about shape of the end caps and ends of remote. Shocking really to see how simple it is setup yet have 66 ft water rating.
Wonder if Garrett looked under the hood of Deus 2 remote? Hmmm
This may sound crazy.
I’ll bet I could take 5 Deus 2 remotes apart and put back together easily before I could take one Legend control head apart. Yet the Deus 2 has a substantially higher water depth rating.
