I'm having problems with GB2 on my Legend in beast mode, setting it up and using it. Also, what ground conditions warrant its use? Any advice or guidance would be appreciated.

Hi Terry.
GB2 is only needed to prevent falsing on hot rocks or falsing due to variable highly mineralized ground. Unless you have ground with those, then there is no need to use GB2.
I can't speak to the use of GB2 though, because I've never had to use it.

I’m certain all of the above is correct for when it would be needed - only if hot rocks and/or highly variable highly mineralized soil is encountered. I’ll take a stab at answering regarding how to do the GB2 - but keep in mind, I reverted to v1.13 as recommended by Nokta, so I can’t confirm what I’m about to write! I had problems doing GB2 while I had the beta installed also - in my case, it was because I was trying to do GB2 with the ground balance button, which apparently is incorrect. If you take a close look at the Nokta demo video, once you’re in GB2 mode, you apparently use the accept/reject/pinpoint button as you pump the coil to do GB2. Maybe that is where you’re running into trouble?
Here’s a link to the video…the 1:58 mark is where Nokta starts talking about when a second GB would be necessary, and the 2:20 mark is where you can see the pinpoint button being used to GB2:
