Hey wolf-dog, you know how I grade finds. This is a backflip. I found a 1942 war nickel today, and I can bet you I made the world record in the highest backflip.

Maybe I'll try one next time I find a sliver. Thank you, Longbow! I am sure there is more, the area I am hunting was settled in the mid to late 1800's.

I look at your totals in your signature and see how long it took - over 700 clad first. Wow. I've been reading your posts and keep thinking you and I seem to be detecting similar places as far as potential. I'm only at 150+ clad so far, so I probably have a long way to go. But seeing your success encourages me!

Thank you, Grey! Yes, it did take me over 700 coins before finding my first silver, but most of my clad was found at modern parks while specifically hunting for clad. I don't find as much clad when I'm hunting permission sites (like old house, etc.) but I have been able to find more old things, like these silvers as well as a few wheat cents. Keep at it, and I hope you find some silver soon.
