I got some info regarding the silver/gold pendant I dug this past weekend. It's from a company in S.E. Asia called Samuel B. and the design is supposed to be an "evil eye" for the purpose of warding off evil spirits. Maybe I should wear it on all my future hunts.
Most of the piece is silver. The only "gold" it contains are two little round knobs just above and below the "eye". The gold is only plated rather than solid. On the lower "knob" you can see just a trace of gold color. The 18K inscription is kind of an exaggeration, probably to make the buyer thin it's worth a lot more than it actually is.
