Got in the Return Trip, More Success. Plus

Nice going, Trapper... two successful, enjoyable hunts in the same day! You doubled your silver count, found quite a number of wheats, and came away with a good amount of clad, too.

Aside from detecting, how are you doing these days, friend?
Thank you Chelsea for your kind words. Got pretty lucky on the first and only permission to start the year so I am feeling very blessed. (Got what looks to be another that really looks promising. A 1870's church property.) Getting ten Silvers from any site is not common for sure and there may still be more. The park hunt was a spur of the moment after thought and only occurred because the detector was in the truck as I passed by seeing the parking area was clear of vehicles. As far as life, well hectic would be a understatement. Having family issues along with prep work for the gardens and taking on a part time job plus taking some classes have all but absorbed my time. But the health and spirit is still in order so hoping that these other issues ease off a bit and I can get back to my detecting plan that I have not even started yet. Trapper

Way to go Trapper! I love the design of the stars circling those Barber quarters.
Appreciate your reply Rick, thank you. As a kid back in the 1950's I had seen and handled Standers, Merc's, Buffalo's and Walkers. But never seen a Barber (or anything minted prior) before getting into this hobby. I have been fairly blessed digging my share over the years but they still give me a thrill when ever it happens. Great job on a 6 silver day! I hope you find many more when you finish the area!
You reply is appreciated AJ, thank you. The day was more than I had anticipated for sure but very welcomed. Putting 8 Silver's (both sites) into my coffers tripled my count for the year.Have hoe I can get back there in the next few days. Trapper

You're back on your streak of finding a ton of silver... nice work, Trapper! :woot:
Not to sure this is a streak Garrett. Its only been two sites and only two hunts. Really lucky to have a unhunted location to start my year. When I stopped to ask permission I had never thought I'd pull 10 Silver's from the location. Just knew that with the age of it there would be the possibility of Silver. I can say I am looking forward to going back and then going to a new permission. That one is a Church built in 1870, so more possibilities. Trapper

Wow Trapper, incredible hunting! Great pics and silvers :). Look forward to your next post!
Thank you Jeff, your support is truly appreciated. I also look forward to the return trip and then to my next permission. That one is a rural church built in1870. Could be some interesting finds. Trapper

Dang, that will be hard to beat ! A huge Congrats, and sure you will find more, you seem to know what you are doing and your machine is working great. :wow2: :wow2: :digginahole::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thank you TP for your kind reply. Silver is the main target for me, I can never say I get it all but have had my machine now for over 8 years and it has treated me well. Trapper

You are really vacuuming up the silvers!I haven't found a silver coin in quite some time. I will try again tomorrow:laughing:
Appreciate your reply Frank, thank you. Blessed with my first site holding now a count of 10 Silver's and still have a couple hours of ground to cover. The hope is to finish that site tomorrow and then go to my next permission. That site is a church yard built in 1870 so maybe the count could rise a bit more. Trapper

Wow Trapper! A 6 silver day is outstanding! Congrats on all those coins and getting the first Barbers of the year!
Thank you Dewayne, I agree it was a pretty good day. The digging of 8 Silvers in a day does not come about very often so I am enjoy the aura of this one. Hope there are a few more of these epic days in the future. Trapper

Definitely another nice haul, good to see your making most of the little time you do get. Congrats and good luck on the next trip!
Appreciate the very kind words Jeff, thank you. Time has been my biggest problem so when I get out I just have to be thankful for the opportunities and hope I choose the sites well. Trapper

Nice hunt Trapper, congrats. and thanks for sharing
Appreciate your reply Jerry. Not having the year I had planned for but have done pretty good for myself with the little time I have had. Life has put quite a few obsticles that have taken a priority and a awful lot of my time. I have hope that the 2nd half of the year will open some time for me to play a little more often in this hobby. Trapper
