It took 3 weeks but I finally got to go back to the site of my first outing. Still did not have enough time to complete the area. So another return trip will come in the near future. Pretty happy though with this hunt as it was even better than the first hunt. Took home six Silvers along with 16 Wheat's and another $1.97 in clad. Among my Silvers I got my first Barber's of the year with a Quarter and a Dime. Also dug my first Rosie's (3) and another Merc. Later that evening I got in another short hunt at the park that game me a "64"Kennedy Half and the Canadian Bank Copper late last year. Hit the curb side of the parking area and was surprised with two more Rosie's and another Wheat to complete my day. The Silvers of these outing takes me to 12 for the year. As always thanks to all for checking this thread out. Trapper

Wow Trapper, finding a half dozen of silvers is a true accomplishment and with a couple of Barbers mixed in for good measure makes it that much more of a "Blue Ribbon" reward type of hunt! Sixteen wheats and the clad count is up there too. I'm in suspense now as to see what you'll find on your return visit to the site. Congrats on each and every one of those finds! John

Glad you finally got a chance to swing the coil again with everything you got going on, Congratulations on the silver. The mosquitoes and black flies fish flies deer flies gnats and all the other blood sucking things and the heat is why i have only been out for coins once . Even at the farm i detected the bugs were insane. But i did get the 42 walker . Hopefully you get some more free time soon. If ya have a full body skeeter suit bring it up its the only way to get out.

Very nice Trapper! Congrats on your first Barbers and first Silver Rosie! Glad you were able to get back to that good detecting spot!
Appreciate the reply David. I will be going back for a third hunt soon. Figure there is about 2 hours worth of area left to hunt. Even if it does not produce like the first two outings it will be a great yard and I'm very thankful for the permission. Could use some rain as the ground is getting pretty dry and hard. Trapper

Nice group of silvers Trapper, glad to see you haven't gotten it all yet.lol. congrats on the haul
Don't think I will ever get it all Pete as over the years have had several follow behind and pull coins. But as long as I can still swing I will reduce their successes. Was a pretty good day I must say though. Trapper

Nice going, Trapper... two successful, enjoyable hunts in the same day! You doubled your silver count, found quite a number of wheats, and came away with a good amount of clad, too.

Aside from detecting, how are you doing these days, friend?

Thank you for the kind words John. It really was a pretty good day could have used a couple more hours that and some rain but oh well. The park hunt was the real surprise as my 3 keepers were all within a 5 foot span right on the edge of the parking area. A vehicle had always been parked over this area in my past hunts here. Hope my next trip will come a lot sooner. Trapper

Wow! What an awesome day you had, grats!
Appreciate your reply, thank you. Have to agree it was a pretty great day. I'm already looking forward to my last trip back. Probably only need a couple hours to finish the yard, Really thrilled to get the Barbers as I have not had a lot of real old sites to hunt of late. Trapper

Hope after the gardens all get planted I will have more time. Honestly think I'm going insane with the stress of all the things I have been dealing with. Its got to slow down soon, at least that is the hope. By the way Mike, liked the pic of your Walker, looks like it was dropped fairly fresh. On the way back from work I got a permission on a rural country church yard. The place was built in 1870 and is still active. Have hope to get in there and back to this last site some time before the end of the week. Trapper

Dang, that will be hard to beat ! A huge Congrats, and sure you will find more, you seem to know what you are doing and your machine is working great. :wow2: :wow2: :digginahole::thumbsup::thumbsup:
