Look out for the 3.6liter v6 in chrysler and jeep products! It's a lemon. Rocker arm/cam trouble, blown headgaskets. I just replaced one with a cracked valve also!
Yea, I researched the Challenger before I bought the Mustang. I read about the problems and that it's being discontinued. I wanted something relatively fast, sporty looking, and with decent gas mileage for my 25 minute drives to the beach to support my detecting habit. The Challenger was not good on gas. The Eco Boost Mustang was and did 4.8 sec. 0-60. Was also considering the Sonata N-Line and the yet to be released 2025 Kia K5 GT Line. Both those cars use a problematic 8 speed dual clutch transmission so I kinda ruled them out because of that. I'm really happy with the Mustang after a month of owning. Puts a smile on my face when I merge onto the highway. :giggle:

You crashed your new ride ? Factory defects ? Let's hear it....
No , It turned out to be a nightmare however , on the day I was taking the car from the dealer , the salesman drove the car back from the detail shop , I saw were he parked it , and went over to check it out , he said everything was done except I needed the gas card to go fill your car up  AS I checked the car out , the passenger side door had a 1 inch chip in it on the body line below the handle , the detail shop damaged it , I was pissed , took two laps around - the dealership on foot after showing it to the salesman , than the manager looked at it , I said NO DEAL , never took possession of the vehicle , they had taken my down payment & the banks money , it took a week to get my money , & 1 day shy of a month to get the banks money back , I did go look at the Mustang Gt , just looked inside , the seats aren't wide enough for my 60 inch hips , they are built for small people  , MY educated guess is , in 2028 Dodge will have a new HEMI , top secret of course , but the engine is in the early stages of development , Funny the LAST CALL marketing ploy-had me looking hard , so close in owning a Scat Pack , maybe someone up high gave me a signal & saved me , I am not a fan of the 6.4 , as I didn't care for the way they put the rings , so high on the pistons , little room to sup- up that motor without damaging it , so I did like the 5.0 GTs except they are to crammed inside , both Chevy, Gm in 2025 have a new 6 gen small block 8-6.2 liter- coming out , and Ford is keeping the 5.0 , Dodge electric junk , than electric hybrid , 2028 New Hemi , so NOW , A NEW vehicle is off the table , might get a pole barn , or wait on a 2025 , or 2028 :lol: There you go Kob, so close , but didn't happen , I did learn a lesson out of this deal , don't buy a car unless you check it out , buy, drive it off the lot the SAME DAY , next time Ill pass on the detail shop , I had to clear out my Whaler 13 foot sport out of one side of my garage , rearrange so things to make room for it , that's why I needed the weekend and didn't pick the car up the same day , Kinda glad it happened in a way now , saving up for something , guess 2024 wasn't my year to get a new vehicle !:( I will say , that's about the closest anyone can get , in buying a car , guess it wasn't meant to be Happy Hunting

Yes I was looking at the jeeps to , the 3.6 has been in the shop more than on the road , that 2.4 replacement with more power , reminds me of all these manufacturers are taking 4 bangers to the max , watch those start to fail, not much of a fan on the 3.0 diesel , and 80k for a 392 :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::roll: a joke , Dodge needs a reliable motor for jeep wranglers , I find a 1995 6 cylinder 4.0 with AC under 100k miles , Ill buy it , my neighbor has that year Galvanized frame that year only , anyway Dodge Jeep Ram needs to come to reality on pricing , the LAST CALL will hold them through there electric wash out , but a Hellcat red eye jailbreak at 103 k semi loaded is a big pill to swallow , with insurance not a 1300yr. for a scat pack , but a whopping 2200yr up , as far as a jeep , Ill take a re- done CJ7 With a 360 V8 to , sounds like your a dodge mechanic , :waytogo: , happy hunting , Earl

Oh man , what a bummer. I would have been pissed off too. Don't blame you at all and I do think it was a sign : Don't do it. Mustangs are small for us big guys inside. I think Dodge will have some kind of hybrid/hemi coming out in a few years. Though I've owned a couple , was never a big fan of them. My dad got his for $87k , but with the tax and other bs , it was a bit over 100k. He had been searching for awile. Found one , went down , inspected it and drove it away right then and there. Dad is 80 , lives in geezerville Palm Springs , hasn't had an accident in decades. His insurance went from $2200 a year to $4k. Not many here in California would even insure him. I think they are skeptical of an 80 yr old fart driving an expensive muscle car. He only drives about 9k miles a year as it is.

Anyway , Good Luck on whatever you decide to do Earl. Hope you have been losing a little weight and getting a bit of exercise.

Kob , thanks , that much rear wheel HP will never be used , unless you go to the track , than you deal with the Demons , Pro Stock set up for track only , bottom line not worth 80k up , Electric , than Electric hybrid for Dodge till 2028 bro., however FORD , CHEVY , GM , still will have a v8 , with there last call marketing ploy , I hope Dodge learns a Lesson , this guy has been spot on , on predictions , good flick https://www.bing.com/videos/rivervi...437839416508E5FA921A437839416508E5F&FORM=VIRE
