Glad i dug my negative numbers today

Wow, mixed emotions. Do not know how to handle this one. $100 to return 4 that was eternally lost. Guy should be a little more thankful. Props to you for the return, just saying, I would struggle with this one. I tend to show appreciation for people when they do things for me, and I kinda expect the same in return.

Seemed like a pretty reasonable reward considering he didn't meet me in person, I have the feeling the reward was based on the thought that I'm probably well off and retired, as this is the general image of a detectorist, but in reality I'm 16 and I could have very well used the money. The language barrier also was hard to convey just how lost his wallet really was. 100 dollars is good for me, and i' d have returned it if I knew I was getting 0, aleast I have my peace of mind.

16....I've got underware older than that Nelson.....Just kidding buddy you evidently were raised with the right values...I'm 77 and I'm proud of you.!!!!

If someone ever found something of mine, I would be doing backflips with appreciation. I do Ringfinders and many returns, people are not very appreciative to you when you just spent 2 hours of your time, hands and knees (at some point), doing your best, to find their personal belongings. Some people are hesitant to even give you $25 for your time and your fuel to get there. I have changed in my views about returns over doing it for many years. Sorry I do disagree with the 25%. I also deal with the language barrier, but when it comes to speaking money, It's all the same language.

Depending on the other wallet contents, I would possibly just say "hey - the money is ALL YOURS for going out of your way to return my wallet". But, I will say $100 is a sizeable reward, so great ending to this story!
