Garrett Pro Pointer problem ?

I've had the same issues. And turning PP off and on helps, but will have I have to do this many times while hunting. I'll have to pay more attention to not pressing on the tip so hard and give the penny trick a try.

I've had my propointer for just a week and it goes wacky sometimes but if I turn it off and then back on it seems ok. Still has the battery in that came with it. Is this normal?

Try a new battery? Eliminate the simple things......

If the new battery doesn't do the trick. Call garret and tell them u need it repaired. My coil inside was broken. They fixed it for free. You'll have to pay shipping to them. If u take it back to store for another one. You will probably have the same issue. Mine has worked 120% since its repair. Hope this helps.

I would make sure the batteries are new,And then turn it off and on outside the hole. Another thing is that if the hole is near electrical wires it will go crazy.
