This past week was a bit odd... in sifting and beeping, I found a number of small early 19th century gilt buttons and these five dimes... Three Mercs 1916 1918 1942 a Canadian 1947 and a 1913 Barber... which unfortunately was found in the gravel of the driveway and looks like it's been through a war... Counting the Merc I found a little over a week ago that's 6 dimes in a row...

Nice haul.....I'd soak the Barber in some WD-40 for a while, and then rub gently with a Q-tip....repeat till happy......might work......

very nice, that 1916 doesnt happen to have a D mint mark does it.......If so you have a very Valuable coin on your hands my friend....good luck

Looks like you found a great area to hunt. Any time you can find five silver coins in a week, you have done GREAT!!!!!! Congratulations.

Gosh, they look so nice all lined up in a row. Very Nice!

I'll bet it's not a 1916 D. I know that feeling.

I've found exactly 1 1916 Merc and there wasn't any mint mark, which means it was minted in Philadelphia right? D means Denver?

Thanks for all the comments, feed back and tips... I'll try some clean up on the Barber but unfortunately I can't put a "D" on that 1916 Merc... but I do appreciate the tip on the potential Key -minting mark- date!

I'm silver rich this week on the old 1775 homestead, but I'm still hoping for a gold coin somewhere on the property....

Thanks again to all....

Don

nice finds but at least you can see where your 1916 merc was minted. Look at my 1916 merc.
