I'm pretty new to metal detecting. I upgraded to an f44 and a f pulse and 11" dd coil with cover.only paid 150.00$ from 1st texas. My previous detector was a teknetics eurotek pro with 11" dd coil. Russ with first texas has been 1st class in helping me. Just want to say thank you to the forum for being so helpful and supportive. I am really enjoying learning more. Again thanks to all....

I believe you will like both units to get started in detecting. The Fisher F22 was my first real modernish detector. I don't count the HF 9 function. I only used it to find a boundary market then got hooked on finding other things. I was looking hard at the the FPulse and almost got one but for various reasons didn't.

Someone who was a tremendous influence and help to me was a guy on YouTube who goes by the name Mike. His YT channel is WildcatCreek Survival. I watched his instructional videos to help me on the HF detector and then went for the F22 mainly because of him. I would highly recommend checking him out.

The F44 and F22 are nearly the same machine. The F44 has a couple more features that you will benefit from. It just adds a hair more of a learning curve. I think the main difference is the ability to ground balance manually. Spend some time watching him and digest it. It's a very good starting and learning point for your model.

Happy digging.
