Using Zero Disc, you might be able to hit magnetite crystals and some other crystalline iron bearing minerals. Gold, silver, copper, lead (galena) and nickel can all be found in crystalline form sometimes too but you are using a "metal" detector and many minerals that form crystals are not metallic.

With a metal detector is highly doubtful. I used to watch a program on the weather channel about some people looking for minerals and crystals in Colorado mountains. They had a great big excavator to dig with. :rofl2: Basically, you just have to start digging where you suspect they might be and hope for the best. JMHO.:waytogo:

I saw a few of the Weather Channel shows on digging for opal, ect. Don't think they are still on, but no detectors were used, I know of ? They were fun to watch though, but those people worked awful hard for what they got ! :digginahole:
too_

Prospectors, that was a good show actually. The weather Channel seems to be good for everything BUT weather
