I have been a long time user of Garrett Detectors. I have tried Whites, Minelab, First Texas just to name a few. There is some nice technology out there for sure. Most of it (but no all) really doesn't affect my metal detecting results. I mean, targets only get so deep where I live. I don't have salt water, so I am quite pleased with my inventory. I have the latest APEX.....a great unit with lots of bells and whistles + easy to navigate through them. The AT Pro is my coin and ring magnet on land. I know those tones inside out and backwards with thousands of hours on it. The AT MAX in fresh water using true all metal mode is very very deep and great for separation in fresh water. The ATX is my depest machine.....only used in water to find targets others missed. So, here's last years results.

Good Lord! That's unreal John. You do know eventually you will have to sleep and maybe even eat a meal right.:rofl2: That is more than impressive. WOW, just WOW!

Thanks for posting your season's results! Your clad total of $167.21 is impressive.

Great collections of finds there. Like they say, "the proof is in the pudding"! You certainly proved you know your Garret detectors well. Thats what really counts. I've said it before, and expert with an Ace250 would destroy a rookie with the latest and greatest in the field. I bought an AT Pro right after they came out, still have it and use it, and have always loved it. Its simple and an excellent performer. I'm considering buying another one since the one have is so old. The AT Pro is a necessary tool for my toolbox.

I was wondering if you were going to post something pretty soon.
Well, some people who get all wrapped up with new releases forget that Garrett has been around for a very long time. They have been through cycles several times where they were the number one machine. I suspect they will soon get another try at it. Companies with poor products and poor customer survive don't survive the test of time.
