.933 ?

Found a half-dollar sized religious medallion stamped Italy .933 ( May also be .433, very small and difficult to read clearly )...anybody know what .933 might refer to ? Silver in color, but has a small rust colored blemish that I've never seen on any silver objects before...lustrous finish but doesn't look like silver to me...thanks, RR
