garrett at pro

My AT Pro was working perfectly on Friday, go to use it today, everything turns on, can change all the settings, did a reset, changed the frequency, did ground balancing, the works, but won’t “detect” anything? Changes the batteries, put a gold ring on the ground to test, but nothing? So weird...

I have a Garrett AT Pro that suddenly stopped working after I put new batteries in....well it works for a few seconds and then goes nuts. It does not detect the new batteries as being full of charge and makes tons of erratic beeping sounds as if the battery is dead. Any suggestions?
