Deus 2 might just be the new bomb

Now the real test begins.. CB did a great job  ........ now will the machine produce treasures on the beaches like no other machine.. :kingdances: or :ehh:

Why not compare the Deus 2 against the CTX or Etrac ?
That would be a much more logical comparison.

Price point dictates that the Nox is a better detector for what you get.

Calabash posted a video saying the Deus II has been shipped to distributors in the U.S.. So it's on it's way.

"Incidentally, there were some USA DEUS II YouTube’rs/testers that thought the DEUS II USA shipments were already in the air and arriving in the USA by this past Friday. However, the XPLORER manufacturing facility and headquarters in Toulouse, France, confirmed that this was not true and just wishful thinking. "

They are shipping from france end of this week. in USA 2-3 weeks to get through customs and to distro/dealers.

extremely limited quantities.

The only reason I have a pre-order in for Deus II is because Minelab has not announced anything. On another site a guy that has maybe tested for minelab, or at least wrote articles published on the Minelab website said we shouldn't hold our breath on a 2022 release from Minelab. I guess anything is possible though.

Heck I'd cancel the Deus II order if I knew we would have a new flagship Minelab by this time next year.

The weather here where I live keeps me indoors for most of the winter. I'll have no problem finding a D2 when I'm ready for it. It also gives me time to sell a arm and a leg to get the money for one....smiles.

I try to stay away from pre ordering. I usually sit back and wait for real world results, and most times, I can get a like new unit for a few hundred dollars cheaper. I dont consider calabash's tests "real world" results. That guy is on another planet! That being said, if the deus 2 does well in dirt, and there's no leakage issues, I'd absolutely consider it. I dont need another land machine, my explorer and nox cover all my needs in that regard. I am looking forward to water tests though.

Very much agreed! Whatever his “soil” is made of, it sure as HELL isn’t what MY soil is made of! Although he can test machine against machine IN THAT SOIL, can we then say that you can take those comparisons and they will be true in EVERY soil? Dunno. I’m very much following the overall usage going on. The problem so far for me has been that 90% of the UK targets seem to be in the 0-6” range in those fields, which isn’t indicative of anything in the game I play. We just need to see more park hunters in the US start to get them and post LIVE DIG RESULTS.

Calabash put out a beach video yesterday. He didn't find anything that my Nox couldn't find. He did pull 6 rings and some earrings. I think they were junkers. He was using the 9" coil. Strictly looking for gold. Not digging anything above 80.

Yup the NOX could of found those rings and I also find the "micro jewelry" they keep getting excitied over with the nox and my old CTX.
Granted most of the micro I found was 2" or less deep I wouldn't doubt theirs is only that too but the shovel is probably pushing it around and then they say look 6 inches deep lol. I see that all the time on youtube "hey look 10 scoops deep" no the TARGET was in the side of the hole it wasn't 10 scoops deep lol.

If he is notching out pennies he could be notching out 10k gold a friend found a big school ring that came in at a 23 on the Nox... beach hunters have no reason to notch out targets especially on a detector that can get rid of bottle caps there is no reason for it... gold and platinum can and do come in a lot of different VDI's a couple weeks ago I pulled 2 platinum rings one was a 15 the other a 5...

Junk rings don't count to a beach hunter ...

Junk rings count for those who can't find gold. 🤣🤣🤣

I chickened out and canceled my Deus II pre-order this morning. I decided to take the wait and see approach. I wasn't overly enthused about it to begin with. Things may change once more people start testing. As of right now I'm more than happy with what I'm swinging, and content to just wait it out.

He mentions that when he starts the hunt. He wasn't notching, just digging everything below 80. Day 2 he dug a couple more rings. Gold seems hard to find on all those competitive beaches. Multiple people out looking.

This x2!

It makes ZERO sense to compare a $1600 machine to a $635 machine for purchase justification. Simply comparing tech, traits, etc... I get, but just to yell "the $1600 machine is better overall than the $635 machine" is pointless.

"After all my scientific testing, measurements, calibrations, and calculations I DECREE THAT DWAYNE THE ROCK JOHNSON IS PHYSICALLY STRONGER THAN DANNY DEVITO!" - In my area, where I hunt, in my soil, pertaining to the targets I chase.
