What do you guys think the trade in value or resale on a like new F75 with additional like new 6in elliptical and lower rod is? The condition is so good I could probably throw it in the box and sell it as new lol Thinking about getting an LTD2 and selling my standard F75 to help finance it, as long as I can get close to what I need $$$ wise.

If you were planning on getting the ltd2 why not just upgrade it? If you try selling then buying again you're going to be out more money. A new non LTD2 is around $950. There is a non LTD still for sale since October for $550 (and they are a sponsor). Then there was an LTD2 WITH a Sunray probe that sold for $800.

With the upgrade and 3 year extended warranty I'm looking at $408 with the upgrade program, not worth it when I can buy a new LTD2 for $950 or less which will have a full 5 year warranty AND 5in coil. I could probably sell my existing F75 for at least $550 with the additional coil (from what I'm seeing on Ebay), and mine is in much better shape, it's literally mint in the box. I'm just not sure if the LTD2 is worth it, and if it will perform dramatically better than what I have now.

I see completed listings on ebay show they are selling used for $450 -$650
Personally I would do just as you are, your unit should make up more than 1/2 the cost of a new F75 LTD2. plus you get a 5 year warranty with the new unit. I don't see any problems getting your moneys worth out of it ion 5 years.
Now hurry up and buy one so you can give me some tips LOL!

Haha, yeah I'm working on getting some $$$ together. I had a few hundred saved up for that reason, went on some dates with the ex (yeah I know) and spent most of it in 3 weeks. I could cry, that would have covered most of my F75 LTD2 trade up and a new S&W M&P 9 I've been wanting.

PS I have that gun too. It's very nice.

I bought the smaller M&P shield last summer and love it (after advice from a member on here), then I decided on a new full size range gun and went with the Glock 17 this past winter, but I really want to try the full size M&P. I love the grips on it, the M&P's feel a lot better in my hand than the Glock.

That was the exact reason why I went with the M&P vs Glock. I tried both and it just felt right.

Yeah, I always wanted to try a Glock which was the main reason I bought it, however I planned to buy both (M&P and Glock) anyway so it was more about which one to purchase first, rather than which one to settle on. I should have an M&P in a few weeks, but right now I'm planning to either do the LTD2 purchase, or get some coils for my V3i and E-trac first. I just need the $$$ now. :D

Still on the fence about the upgrade, but I'd probably sell it on here.

Even if those people on Ebay are selling it for $700, they'd really only be getting a little over $600 in their pocket lol (it's about a 15.3% deduction if you use a reserve at $500)

I used an Ebay Calculator so it may be a little off.

I didn't add any extra warranty to mine. In case I ever sell it the warranty doesn't transfer anyways so I thought it wouldn't be worth it. (To me)

Yeah I don't want to take a huge loss. I'm still on the fence about it, I might just keep it and use it as is, the extra inch or two in depth would be nice, but I have to decide if it's financially worth it for me. It's basically like a new detector physically, I use the V3i and E-trac most of them time.

Well it's too late to send in for the fisher upgrade if that helps your decision making at all.

I would say used market with 2 coils is about $450-500. Stock $400-450.

You may want to check with Chuck on trade it. Probably close to those stock numbers. Sell the extra coils, never bundle for max return. Do that and probably about $450 out of pocket still for new. Not worth it IMO considering you didn't use this one much.

Yeah that's what I'm worried about, I use it for deep woods detecting so EMI is not an issue, I would like boost mode but I'm not sure if the additional inch or two is worth $450 out of pocket. I guess I could potentially find a NOS LTD not the LTD2 version for cheaper than $950 or so? Or I could just get a bigger coil for my F75 and gain some depth that way, as well as save some $$. Like I said mine is mint with very low hours so I don't want to take a big $$ hit for an inch or two additional depth. I just seen the upgrade expired but that's no big deal if I go to an LTD2 it will be on a new detector, not worth putting $409 into mine, when for about that I can get a new one with all its bonuses as stated above with my trade in. Decisions, Decisions...

I saw an upgraded LTD go for $600 recently with transferable warranty. Really all you are gaining is the depth. Personally I like different experiences when dealing detectors. Good luck!

Ehhh yeah I think I'm going to hold onto the F75, I can't see spending $500 and selling my F75 just for an inch or two of depth, at least night right now.
