Yard sale find ????

I don't think galvanized cookware is as as rare as some are making it out to be. I'm not saying it is a potato ricer, but I will say every old potato ricer I've used was galvanized.

I agree. I still have a couple old graters that are galvanized.

Thank you for all the responses.
The previous owner had no clue of its origin.

It has no sharp edges.
Here are some more shots.

Thanks for the extra pics. I haven't given up yet. This must be a rare item if someone on here hasn't figured it out though. I posted the first pic on a FB group I belong to with quite a few older folks and no luck there either.

I'll keep trying.

KT's guess....a skimmer....perhaps for skimming cider, etc....holes let the liquid through while catching foam off the top of the cooking liquid? Handle is really odd tho....sure interested in others opinions! :D:D

Maybe for ice fishing? Place it in the hole and the handles lay on top of the ice. When you come back from a bathroom break, you can lift out the ice and slush that formed in your hole.

I've posted this to my FB account and still no clue. There are a bunch of friends there that are almost as good as those here but still no answer.

This is a real puzzle.

closest thing i can find is two handled lemon or tea strainers. still no exact match though.

Only guess I have is maybe for juicing grapes for wine making??? At least for those who want to keep their feet clean. Not able to find any matches searching though.

I wanted to say milk strainer but it would have to be for goats milk for it to be that small diameter for small volume of milk processing.
