X-Terra Pro pro and VDI numbers Work Around?

The X-Terra Pro is what you get when you put a 427 in a Pinto. Great performance if you can manage it.

I really liked my X-Terra Pro and I'm a very heavy VDI guy. You can tame the X-Terra Pro with some adjustments, like turning down the sensitivity, but then you put it back in line with other entry-level detectors.

I think we're seeing this practice a lot now on the new models of detectors. To try and squeeze every inch out of depth ability they have everything cranked to almost the unstable state. Instead of learning what to crank up to improve performance, we find everyone having to crank down to make them stable and more usable.

Myself, I liked the Nokta Simplex+ over the X-Terra Pro. Stability got me more good finds than a hot detector.

Legend is imo just as good as anything on the market as far as coin and jewelry hunting goes. Not trying to get anyone upset that paid 1500 for theyre rig and say a $600 machine is just as good or even better, but yea, the Legend is just as good if not better in every aspect
I agree it looks to be a good machine. I may get one myself to compare it against the ones I use on my YouTube channel. Check it out: @KensMetalDetectingFinds

Too many, I’m messing around with the X-Terra Pro right now. Even though it has a jumpy ID, it seems to give me a lot of information without messing with the settings. The main thing I want to know is the size of the target. If it’s the size of a coin or ring, I dig, otherwise ignore. Tabs, caps and screw caps give a wide sound profile. A bent tab gives a good sound.

I’m an old timer. I spend more time listening than digging.
It's awesome with the Equinox 6" coil. It centers better, and cuts through all the trash much better. It does take twice as long to hunt an area though. I just posted a video featuring it on my YouTube channel: @KensMetalDetectingFinds
