found at a school built in the early 60s. Not sure if it’s jewelery from that time Period or something older. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
In 1964 I was a brand new Boy Scout wearing my brand new uniform to my first meeting which was held outside.
Halfway through the meeting I realized I had lost my kerchief slide and frantically looked for it. My family wasn’t poor. Sort of. But we didn’t have money to burn and my parents scraped to buy this uniform. Losing part of it would not go over well.
I looked everywhere but no luck. For months I looked for it but did not find it and transferred to another troop.
Forward 50 years.
I was new to MDing and had an Ace250. Was passing the site where the first troop met and on a whim I turned in. I walked to where I believed I had lost my slide and on the fourth swing I got a signal. Four inches down in black muck was my slide.
My folks were gone but it has a place of pride in my display case.
