Came home from my walk early this morning and found this on the front lawn. At first I thought it was one of you guys not filling your holes 😡 seeing how we were posting about that on another thread. Then I noticed the rabbit 🐇 paw prints. Serves me right for putting out corn 🌽 for them over the winter. 😊
No good deed …😏

When we moved here in 1983 it was rare to see Hare's, if we saw rabbits we would tell the kids oh look rabbits. Now you almost can't swing a metal detector without hitting one at night. Not to often during the day. I put out corn and cut up corn cobs at night or evening. When the weather is nice I will sit on the front steps and watch them while I'm on the computer.

We’ve had rabbits nesting and having babies in holes they’ve dug in our lawn and raised bed veggie garden… and we have a dog ! The dog couldn’t care less about rabbits or squirrels in his yard 🥱

Ok, I confess : I did it. I tracked down where vmc1661 lives. Then I went there, and left that hole . Sob. Wimper. Will you ever forgive me ?

I have a dog and a cat that does not like any critters in our fenced in back yard. The cat even kills full grown squirrels. And then we have a few hawks that seem to pick off any remaining critters. My dog will chase out deer who can jump a 6 foot fence with ease.

We had many cats that would clean out the yard and the neighborhood. We had one cat that spent most of its time gathering small critters including squirrels. When his time ran out after sixteen years about four months later, our neighbor started complaining about chipmunks getting in his house. I told him, our Hunter killer cat is no more. You’ll have to come up with your plan. One of our cats would bring us the catch of the day alive. Seems like alive or dead my wife freaked out… do something about it… why me I’d say. She would send me a message telepathically or maybe it was just a look. But I knew to take care of the situation.
