If you have a little patience, the Minelab Equinox 800 sounds like the perfect fit for you. Yes, it has a manufacturer price of 899, but you will be able to get it cheaper from any decent dealer. How much discount, we don't know yet so it probably will stretch your price point a little, but if youre saving up, you should have the extra saved by the time its available beyond the initial pre-orders.
