Spanish silver

For sure something I never expected was beyond the black layer of sand into the red I’m assuming that’s what somewhat preserved the coin
I know here if coins are in the clay they come out clean looking, everything else since we don't have a lot of movement... silver get crusty and black. Chesapeake bay. Was the red sand?

The red sand does wonders to coins I’ve found large cents nearby the area where I found the reale and they weren’t green at all beautiful orange copper color

Great find. I may try beach hunting next time i'm on the coast. Especially if the fish don't bite.
Watch out, your fishing poles may start collecting dust as mine did when I got back into the detecting hobby with my Manticore purchase. I took my poles, tackle, bait nets, and bait buckets with me on beach detecting trips the first three times but never used them. I quit bringing it all after that. If I start back fishing, it can't be at the beach!
