Silver day...

There's been very little action at the beaches, so I decided to dig in the dirt today. I had permission from a friend to hunt their yard, and a 3-hour hunt turned up 5 silvers -- 2 mercs, 2 rosies, and a war nickel -- plus a 1926 buffalo nickel and 5 wheats. A couple of other interesting items: a flattened clad dime (usually these rolled coins are pennies), a 1952 1 pice coin from India, and a stylized Scotty dog made of thick sheet copper -- rather interesting art work.

I found on the back that a pin had been attached, so it apparently was a broach, either hand made or commercially made. Neat styling in any case.
