Nokta Impact information

Also is anybody else worried about quality with the Impact since they are backordered and a new design. Don't know if they are just rushing to get them shipped out. I'm weird when it comes to stuff like that I overthink things sometimes lol

What are you referring to when you say new design??

If I hadn't already ordered from Kellyco I would do that but they threw in a minelab go find 60 no charge for my sons bday present. 3 days is awesome from overseas though!

yeah I got a nice discount as well. Im sure your son will love the detector!

New design? We just released a software update for them and I announced the update on all forums. I guess I am not clear about your concern.

As far as I am concerned the nokta impact is a new design. It's a new metal detector that just hit the market. Like I said I overthink things sometimes. My concern is production being rushed to get the metal detectors shipped out.

I'm not saying that it is being rushed. I simply asked a question if anyone else was concerned about the quality of the Impact for this reason. I have never held one or seen one in person so I can't say anything for sure.

I have ordered one and look forward to it getting here Dilek. I am not saying anything bad about your new detector. Simply asking questions. I already love the looks and features of this machine just from reading the manual.

I can understand your concern.

There is a difference in being prompt and being rushed.

If we base the quality of Impact only on past models they have designed and built,,,you should feel very comfortable as far as getting a nice,,well built detector.

Fast forward to Impact.
I have no way to prove,,but the Impact detector could very well be the most tested Vlf detector ever built,,,more man hours expended in total by all the different testers be it in house or testers outside of the actual manufacturer.

Nokta folks are not rookies here either.
Besides you have a problem with your unit or a concern,,,Dilek will be available to guide you in getting your problem(s) resolved.

When you receive your unit,,,if it is like my test unit you will be very impressed with build quality.

I have mentioned this earlier in this thread.

No Mickey Mouse construction going on with Impact.

I look forward to hearing your review of the unit once you receive.

Btw the sponsor here DetectingMo, Craig has held and used more than a few detectors.
He has spoken about this detector in previous post here.
And he don't even sell the unit.

You have every right as the end user to question the build/quality/testing of the Impact as it is your hard-earned money that you are giving to the dealer and to us.

Impact has been tested by more than 30 people in different countries (8 in the USA alone) since October 2016. We had our own internal tests here that lasted almost a year before the product was sent to these testers around the world.

The software version we sent to testers was v1.0. Based on feedbacks, we made 11 updates on the software before we went into production. We also made mechanical changes based on testers' feedbacks again.

We announced the product end of February and we started shipping the product in April. So did we rush the product? Believe me, no.

Does this mean every unit that leaves this factory will have no issues? No. No matter how strict our QC procedures are, no company can achieve 0% failure in any industry in the world and we cannot promise you that either. BUT what we can promise is: we are here - behind our products and customers. Any issues will be resolved by my team in a timely manner no matter what it costs our company.

THANK YOU!

Dilek (Sales & Marketing Manager)

Thank you Dilek for explaining in depth the quality of the nokta brand. As my email said that I sent to you I was not talking bad about the Impact just asking a question. That makes me feel better about my purchase that I am waiting for and for anybody else that was questioning the quality!

Thank you very much Dilek!

Not the best of depth tests, but still...

Well,,the gent looks like was short on time.

Was his test area sanitized??
Don't look like it.
I couldn't tell which frequency he was using.

DI3 is not as deep as DI4 or DI99.
A gain setting of 80 in D3 is pretty low,,,most times I can run 99 gain setting.

Then there is deep mode to use.

On a nickel for example,,,deepest detectable settings won't include 5khz freq.

And on a dime for example,,deepest detectable setting won't include 20khz freq.
Imask setting of 0 too will help with depth,,,default setting is level 1.
And then there is the freshly buried here.
Freshly buried test do give info,,like maybe how a detector may react when hunting tilled or plowed soil.

But hey,,the gent tried.

Thanks for the info Bkeepes
This is my first detector so I'm ready to go already..
I bought a digger/shovel off Amazon and I'm looking into which hand digger I want. I'm gonna use a nail pouch for starters and figure out what I want after I get some time in the hobby. Looking into a Bluetooth transmitter to make it wireless and I think I figured out which on I'm getting. Just waiting for the detector first.

No problem! Congrats on your first purchase and getting into this awesome hobby! This is my first Nokta so we are both in the same boat of sorts. The lesche diggers are good and I have a fiskars digger with a straight blade and teeth on one side for roots.

The impact is already wireless capable. I've read where the new racer 2 wireless headset will work or if you want to wait they are testing a headset for the impact specifically. Unless you are just doing the Bluetooth to save some money. I don't know how much the transmitter is but the headset is like 120 bucks. Hope this helps a little. All I know about the Impact is what I have read and seen on YouTube. I will be posting my thoughts after using it for a while and I hope you do the same!

seaham358 something that I have noticed on the minelab go find 60 I got for my sons. The Bluetooth lags a little bit from the detector to my phone about 1 second actually. I don't know if this is true for a transmitter plugged into the detector or not but that is something to consider.

Like I said the Impact is already wireless capable you just have to buy the headset. I'm not a Bluetooth guru either I just thought i would let you know what I have found with using Bluetooth for a detector situation.

Man this thread grew cold quick. I figured there would be more info coming with more people out using the Impact. I should be getting mine Tuesday or Wednesday this coming week.

I thought that same thing about Bluetooth and asked someone here about it just the other day. He says the new Bluetooth units don't have this lag. I've personally not tried it, but I did find this video of someone doing a review of a $35 module and he says it doesn't lag:
