new to the forum Pennsylvania

Its more like a general thought , safety in general , not a bad sentiment directed at you .
safety in general is not being out alone for example some of the places i go in PA if something were to happen to me medical wise the critters would have me eaten away before someone found me as foot traffic is rare until hunting season . It's ok I fully understand and don't take it personally as a Rockhound I've met plenty of ladies to take them digging for quartz crystals and It's common for people to think like that ...as you said alot of crazies out there and trust me I'm met plenty in the rockhound community that give all guys a bad rap .

Man , yer not kidding !! I get into remote places , off trail , and very far from people . In 40 yrs , nothing bad has happened but i am feeling more cautious these days since my condition isnt the best . Can we text off of here a bit to see what we think about things ? I truly dont have much tech knowledge and dont know how to proceed . Js

Kind of where I'm at. I don't worry so much about other people causing me problems as I do about my own health. With COPD the possibility of my breathing stopping is real. Being around people I can always try and get attention when in trouble. Out in the middle of the boonies and my breathing becomes a problem, All I can do is hope I have enough in me to get to my phone and dial 911.
