Hello and welcome to friendly detecting forum. I hope you find somebody to hunt with. I would but I don't think my other half would understand with a profile pic like that.šŸ˜
There are some pretty good clubs here in NJ, that might be your best bet.
 
Good luck. I'm close to you just across the river, but I don't really have any good spots yet and those that do are not going to share.

I'm new to metal detecting but have been exploring and looking for artifacts for a long time. I live in Middlesex county. I would love to find a buddy to look for stuff with.

Where are you from? I'm sorta new to using a metal detector to look for stuff but I have been artifact hunting for awhile. (Old bottles, Stone tools, arrowheads etc)

I'm in Nassau County and my buddy is in Suffolk County - both Long Island.

Middlesex County is very close for us. You are in a prime colonial area and actually not too far from where the NJ halfpennies were minted in the 1780s. My buddy is a huge NJ halfpenny collector/dealer.

You should dig in and do a bunch of research to find some colonial hot spots! I don't think NJ has been pounded as hard as Long Island. Its becoming increasingly difficult to find good sites here and we've been branching out.

Hi no worries. Here's a few possibilities. Monday I'd need to be done by 10:30 am
Tue anytime
Wednesday after 10:30 am
I'm at exit 89. Do you have a beach in mind?
