haven't gotten to detect in quite some time. Finally got out today for about an hour in my own yard lol. Just moved back to tennessee recently and in my driveway i found what i believe to be a civil war bullet and also found a nudie coin buried in my yard.
on the forum i've seen the cw bullets before and also the coin, but i can't be certain exactly what kind of cw bullet it is. can anyone help me on that? found in northeastern tennessee. also, i would love to hear where these types of coins came from or the story behind them.
thanks so much,
i was so excited lol.

To me, your bullet looks like a Confederate Gardner. If you found it in your yard, I suggest you hunt your yard very, very good. Nice going.

Nice finds, especially in your own yard! As for the coin, I'd imagine you could get almost any kind of coin marketed if you had the cast (or die press) to make it. Same as double headed quarters, this one is just more kinky (like playing cards).

Hey Peeboo
Lived near Kingsport for many years and still have folks in the area. Great spot for lots of history. Was at an auction in Sevierville a few years ago and they had several coins like yours. Story was they were brothel tokens. You bought the token from the madam and gave it to the lady of your choice when it was your turn. Kept the money separate for the house and that way legally you were not paying for service. Just buying a token. Don't know the facts but that was the story. Wanted to buy one as a joke for a friend but they brought a price that was no joke. Good luck in your new area.

I would say Confederate Gardner on the bullet... and the coin...well looks like a winner either way lol congrats!

I lived in Sevierville for a few years. My only years living out of CA. I wish I had found MDing back then. Now I scratch in the dry ground for a few 20th century relics and coins...
