My Deus 2 feedback and commentary, comparison videos, videos, pics

Means the button system has been subjected to loads of pushes. And thus far flawless.
Like my use in few months would equate to normal use over many more months at least- button push wise. Maybe even at least couple years of normal use.

Unit has been turned off an on loads too. I mean loads.

Yeah. Some have called me a button pusher. Yep. Pushing those buttons loads with no flaws tells me and hopefully others something.
Yeah I use unit detecting in the wild too.
Doing videos of targets requires additional button pushing, and many times I did program comparisons.

Some folks may be looking for durability/reliability info.
Well this might be one indicator at least.

Disclaimer:
I have pushed few buttons on wireless WS6 module.
Really when only pairing and doing updates.
So really zero durability/reliability data thus far on WS6 button ops.

May try to do a few videos showing how to navigate ws6. I really don’t even know how to do right now. Rough around the edges we’ll call it.

I can hum navigating remote though.

I am speechless. It appears my simple question, was not simple.

It was a simple question. I just gave in-depth answer.

Folks can ask any questions they want about unit. If I can answer I will. If I can’t I certainly won’t. And if I can get proper answer from solid source I’ll try to do. I don’t know all about this unit. If you ask me if I know all about unit a year from the answer will be likely be NO.
And new updates can add to the not knowing.

I have made 10 long distance phone calls helping folks with Deus 2.
I have received 56 long distance phone calls from folks who received their Deus 2 units after I received my unit asking for help or suggestions.

I love helping folks.
Made a few new friends during the process too.

My next project. I’ll likely only be giving tech support advice. I would like to only do one video outright. To show one thing though.
Then only do videos to help answer folks questions if they have any.
Folks will understand this more later on perhaps.

I just counted.
If I hadn’t counted wrong I have done a total of 135 videos to date since 28 Jan 2022 with Xp Deus 2.
I would have never guessed that many.
Woo wee.

Info is here in this thread for the taking.
Hope folks do benefit some at least.
Nice to know there’s no durability issues for you as far as the buttons go. I know this sounds silly, but I love how easy it is to turn the deusII on. I have Deanos covers on both my nox and my deusII and it’s much easier to turn the deusII on. I sometimes have to fiddle with the nox even after four years of using it to get it to turn on.

For anyone who cares.
There is high chance I may have pushed buttons on Deus 2 remote the most of any actual purchaser to date. They are still working fine. Put this baby through the ringer!!!
Ok. I will be nice for all you Mother's out there.....

You have pushed far more buttons on this forum than on the D2.

You say after 1 year you still won't have the D2 figured out. Not withstanding the updates. Something is wrong if you don't have it down by then. Or it's just a poorly designed detector.

135 videos since January. Good grief. Wow is right. Thats some serious pimping rage of videos. Some are learning things from them and that is good. Why not set up a patreon page for all your videos ? Think of all that $. You can thank me later.

Happy Mother's Day !

Tn Sharpshooter’s Tip of the day.
It is easy to trivialize some thing that has quantity.
You can’t or it’s harder trivialize something that has little or no quantity.
You can’t reduce or breakdown ( a zero) any further.

To a certain extent that is true. But I much prefer quality over quantity whenever possible. Sometimes you can't have one without the other.

I guess you never watch Paystreak Superfreak’s vids. He puts out way more than sharpshooter. He even throws in some culinary delight vids amongst all the metal detecting ones! Lol

Did he ever fix his beard?

Last time I watched one of his videos, he had shaved it all off. Looks a heck of a lot better too.

He's definitely at the top of my list for a metal detecting YouTuber for outright knowledge, and most importantly, unbiased opinions.

If by unbiased you mean "Go whichever way the wind blows on a particular day" Then you are right. After all a detector "Spanking" a Horseshoe at a foot isn't some miracle we need to do a video on along with dog poop, cat poop, how to make a sandwich and half beards. But then again it's the world we live in...... I really tried to watch him but there comes a point where I just couldn't. I will give him props for recommending the Phoenix shovel though. He was definitely right about that...

Here we go again. I wish now I hadn’t mentioned Paystreak’s videos. Maybe we should have a sub-forum added where all the bashers can post about their most hated youtuber. Lol

I have a hard time watching his video's not because I don't like them its the way he has his camera mounted on him... I have Meniere's disease when he circles a target I feel like I'm gonna barf lol...

If he had a decent place to hunt he'd do very well. I have never seen so many nails in the ground.

I get so much more out of watching him dig targets that are under the ground.

I think he’s hunted most of his sites over and over for so many years that he’s happy just to pull a non ferrous target out. I like watching some of his videos because he’ll dig iffy sounding signals and if he’s using a detector that I also own, I can learn from those iffy sounding signals.

I can see how it could make you feel that way! He almost always digs a perfect pentagon shaped plug. A lot of beginners could learn from him on how to dig a nice plug and not leave a mess behind.

Yep, perfect plugs and done extremely fast.

What he has said many times, is that what he likes doing most, is putting to the test every single feature and option on a detector, and comparing detectors. He does that very well.

Although I'm certain that a long time ago, that park he hunts used to be the global epicenter for nail production :)

Some Deus 2 action yesterday.
Been in this site before. Some areas more than others previously.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1bnVxPJYT6w

Another Deus 2 first in this one area yesterday. Found older coin.

Wound up with one wheathead. One 64 copper memorial, part of a dog leash, part of guts to pocket watch I think, one small watch, clad dime, zincoln penny and few other things.

Basically I was able to take Deus 2 with 9” coil here and do really as well as I have done on previous ventures here. This is following behind Deus 1, Equinox 800 and Minelab Etrac all wearing stock sized coils. I think this says something.
Plus imo I was able to cover more ground faster vs the other detectors previously used in site although coil is smaller on Deus 2 ve the other detectors.

Btw, first target in video above. I located with iron volume on. ID shaky. Turned off iron volume ID solid. I have shown this in some of my tests on top of the ground too.

Yeah.
Even a small video like this. There are things one can learn from. Even me.

Alright I getting some feedback through the grapevine of some Deus 2 users struggling a bit digging more than their fair share of iron.

So I will share some tips here.

Number one
Use your pinpoint feature on Deus 2 to expose bigger iron. Deus 2 does a good job with this with the strength of tone using pinpoint.

Do you as a user have to wiggle coil in order to get those 85-90 high pitch tone to come in? If you do high chance of iron/nail.
Bolts can do this too.
Most times signals on bolts is a lot shorter where Deus 2 audio is blurting sounding (extremely short) tone wise not smooth at all- btw this can mimic many times what a real real shallow coin can act/sound on deus 2.

Pivoting around target many times iron/nails will yield no signal.

User may hear some crackling as iron is swept in audio and then the short high tone comes in. Will be extremely coil sweep dependent too. Nonferrous usually not so coil sweep dependent. Nonferrous will sound off much higher percentage of times swept vs iron/nail. Lot of times user may see signals that are flatter sounding and reading 86-87 approx. These are based on my experiences infact iron. Pinpoint use will sniff these out many times.

Now some nails in vertical position in ground will fool a person. Yes this can happen with EQX use too. I know because I use Eqx too.

Silencer setting of 2 or higher should suffice for Deus 2 beginners.
Silencer of level 3 can be employed to to get one’s feet wet using detector.
I also recommend folks look at targets with iron vol ON and OFF.
Pitch tones imo not best choice for persons starting out with Deus 2 hunting sites loaded with iron. Use of 3 tones better choice. Or even full tones.

I may show some actual scenarios in the wild via video soon.

What may be throwing folks off with Deus 2. It seldom gives ID in the high 90s region on iron. Instead like to hang out in the 85-89 range. Right in the copper memorial cent range.
