How/why? Because the AT Pro or Max has more settings or adjustment options? I'm genuinely curious.
I have the At pro and like it's descriptive audio. I am not buying an Apex, even though it's better in saltwater.

YepI wouldn't hold your breath. I would be shocked if they release any new machines in the next year.
I wouldn't. SMF is proving to be very good on jewelry and gold. An SMF Apex Pro with more depth and settings would appeal to the more advanced detectorist.
Who knows, may 6 or 7 single frequencies going beyond the 40khz of the Nox, more adjustments etc. The current Apex has been in the works for a while. At some point Garrett got to a cutoff point and decided this is where we stop with the ACE Apex. All the while working on expanding their tech for the next generation of AT Apex's.
Either way, it's good for all of us as development continues after a few years of stagnation. For the most part I think the days of $2.5k detectors is over unless they can show you a picture of what you're digging.
My personal wish for the Apex Pro series is they would used the F75 shaft. IMO it still beats any stock shaft out there.
Yep
As a matter of fact I would like to get a T2 in the future. I never learned my F70 as well as Digger 27 did.
Besides AT series' waterproof features, why wouldn't the Apex replace an AT Pro or AT Max?

So let me get this straight. You think Garrett will be releasing a machine that has not even been mentioned by anyone at Garrett in the next 6 months?? In the past it has generally taken at least a year after they even mention they are releasing something new to actual release date. Again don't hold your breath. While I agree that may be the end goal for Garrett I don't expect that to happen anytime soon.
Bruh, I don't hold my breath for anything. Ever. I don't live life that way. Where did I say they would be releasing a new detector in 6 months ?

Certainly not the case for the Apex.
Well I don't beach hunt so I cannot comment in those regards. But for land hunting in Nebraska where I am the AT Pro is deeper and has better separation than the Apex. I confirmed this in my test garden and local sites. Neither one even comes close to the Equinox in depth or separation in my soil so I will not be using either one over my Equinox but that is whole other topic.
He's probably referring to this post:

Although you didn't technically say you anticipated that as a release date, just that you hoped it would be a release date.
I would like to see it come out next March or April.
I think it's a stretch for detector companies to put out a new detector in consecutive years. Nokta/Makro has, but I think with them it's possible because most of their new machines have been somewhat similar in function. As in multi single frequency at best. All that is seriously different in their lines is the form factor. I think a lot of people were let down when they found out the Minelab Vanquish was not an upper end machine. I know I was.
As much as extol the merits of the Equinox line I still want to see a replacement or at least seriously reworked Etrac and CTX detectors. Faster recovery, easily updated, much lighter and ergonomic. wireless without external components, and larger screens. The Etrac and CTX are both getting a little long in the tooth in my opinion. While the tech may still be cutting edge the form factor it's enclosed in leaves much to be desired.
Sorry I must have misunderstood when you stated next March or April which is approximately 6 months away??
Also no need to get angry. You gave your opinion and I was just giving mine. I didn't get angry at your opinion BRUH lol.
I never get angry except when the refs cheat for Alabama.
You must always be angry...
I'm trying to remember but didn't Steve Moore or the Garrett ceo already mention the future models coming based on the apex framework back in may on the release video
