They probably made the antenna cord extra long for the brave souls that will take the machine 10' deep.

But for a waist deep guy like me that leaves a lot of extra cord to deal with.

My solution was to use Velcro straps to affix the cord to a plastic rod I found at the beach and now I can just put the rod on when I want with more Velcro.

Someone here must have a neater solution. Here are my before and after pics.

What simpler, cleaner method has worked for other Deus users?

Wrap it around the shaft... a LOT more? Or will that cause it to interfere with extending/retracting the shaft?

I shortened mine and drilled out the old wire. Stripped the cut wire to expose the inner antenna. Drilled out the cut antenna and epoxied the new stripped end in.

How do you charge the coil since the wire runs parallel to the contacts? I am always looking for a better solution. I use the Deus II, the shorter cable. Tnx

Charger clip fits right over the top with no issues.
