Anyone have 1?

Looking for a water detector, not to dive just fresh and salt water up to my waist

I've been using a Legend since they were first introduced. In a nutshell, you get a well built detector with enough features and settings to give you brain bleed :). In addition, it can compete with detectors costing double and even triple its price. I almost forgot...the price for the coils and other accessories isn't outrageous either.

It's the last detector I'll ever buy, unless someone invents a detector that can differentiate between aluminum trash and gold jewelry.

If one of our detectors has a failure that cannot be repaired, the all carbon fiber pro pack legend will be the replacement.
For what all the shafts and accessories cost to make more expensive detectors what they should have been from the factory, you can just about buy a complete legend. Plus, no other CEO of a detector company has the public presence and forum participation of the Nokta ceo.

I have a legend for about 2-3 months now. I've had it in 12-24" of water with no problems (not the control box mind you... Just detecting in shallows). Overall I've been happy with it and for a good price on a good detector it hits the mark. I'm still learning and it's my first SMF (actually first MF detector at all) as well as the first detector I've ever had that didn't have analog controls so... learning curve! But it finds things, doesn't weigh 20 lbs, and compresses down into about an 18" bundle for storage.

Things I like the most on it... Turning on the backlit display when detecting at night, ground tracking, and on the fly setting switching between presets or iron discrimination.

Things that haven't been optimal: I still am not 100% that I'm taking advantage of all of its features to the max.

Things I hope to be testing some time in the future: Smaller coil to go nugget sniping in some GPAA gold fields

It is a great machine, bought mine when it first came out, unfortunately only used it a couple of months before I had back surgery, then I bought the Manticore earlier this year and have been learning it.
My only complaint with the legend was navigation, but then again you will have that problem with any machine. I went from the Nox and Deus to the Legend, so I was a bit confused at first.
Good luck, you made a great choice.

The Legend is a very very good machine for the $. Not as good as the big boys (XP DEUS II and Minelab Manticore but they are very close!
Put 3 hunters on a site for a few hours. One has D2, one has a Legend, and one has a Manti. Each knows what they're doing, and each detector is set up in a similar manner with the same size coil. Low and behold!, they're each going to find about the same amount of trash and treasure :)
