Just pulled the plug on a backup detector AT PRO!!!

First day out with the ATP I found my first seated coin. It kicks butt in the rain with wet soil. I tried water detecting twice and it s not only way different than land detecting but it is also way harder and a lot colder! Just bought an. Etrac to stick to the dirt.

Thanks! The at pro will be mainly my back up detector loaner and for my buddys only. But will use it in the rain and water hunting as well. I to plan to get the etrac next to compare and make some vids comparing the etrac to the F75se. Love my f75 but if the etrac out performs my f75 I will no doubt make the etrac my go to machine but will never sell the f75 unless they come out with a f80 r something like that. Thanks HH

Just caught that wow seated!! :wow:. Give more details what kind of place u found it and how deep? What was numbers on vdi? Thanks. never found a seated. Oldest I have found was a 1906 barber dime with the f2.

you can use multi-quote when making your responses...that way they will all be in one post instead of 10 when you are answering folks.

As u see I will have to do some practice on it but thanks for the info! I have received sooo many tips threw using friendly forums and in pms its not even funny. This is a great forum and the good people largely outweigh the small group of bad people that runs around here. One more thing how many times can I use multi at 1 time? HH

I imagine you will be using it alot now..

TN INDIAN Just letting you know its "PULLED THE TRIGGER" not "PULLED THE PLUG". When you "PULL THE PLUG" you decide not to proceed with something. I just had to put this out there. It was driving me crazy:back2topic:

I'm seeing now I need the 5x8 DD for my atp..........
just trying to find a deal on one..I know trying to find a used one is impossible..

For the difference in cost between a good working new one and a used one, I personally think going with a new one is a wise decision. The 5X8 is a snappy coil which allows much less time to analyze and evaluate a target than the 8.5X11 coil. So, until you get used to listening to the rapid fire tones, and the need to slow down your swing, the 5X8 seems more chatty than the 8.5X11 coil. But once you get used to it the difference is awsome! Actually, the "pops" are those tiny targets you would have missed altogether with the larger coil, and that can't be all bad. Especially, if you are the proud owner of well experienced wrist joints like me, the difference in weight between the 5X8 and 8.5X11 can mean a few more hours of swinging and the ice cubes can be used in a evening drink rather than a medicinal ice pack:lol:

Just messin. Seriously though good luck with the new machine. It is one I highly considered. Also, let me know when you want to get rid of the F75.

Don't remember the vdi but it was about 4 inches down on a hillside where an old train depot used to be and once you find a couple silvers with the ATP you can definitely start to tell what is silver when in pro mode. It gives a very smooth whistle. I suggest hunting in pro mode, I almost didn't even buy the ATP cuz of the belltone but I like the pro mode sounds ALot better! God luck with it, it is a great and very easy machine. Hh

Just hooked up a friend at work with my dealer and he decided on the 250 and the pro pointer. This is his first detector. Got a very good deal!

On my old job we had a saying; "Some times you watch the show, some times you are the show". That said, I don't think there are any bad apples here on the forum. We are all just here having fun. If we didn't like you, we wouldn't talk to you.
BTW, I suspect you should have your 10,000 post by July, are we having a party ?
