Just pulled the plug on a backup detector AT PRO!!!

I have been pondering on the same idea this morning. Im not sure how long its gonna take to get the feel for the At pro but once I master the basics I should have the Go Pro by then ;) TY AND HH

It might be interesting to see videos of you as you learn. That could help us other AT Pro newbies.

not sure if that wld be a good idea. Im pretty much a slow learner but once I master something I thrive to be the best at it and usually become the best. that goes with anything not just metal detecting. And besides even if I wanted the Go Pro rite now which I do its just not a option. im gonna have to eat ramon noodles for a week after buying the at pro lol. it really wasn't in the budget but oh well. I got a water machine now and back up and loaner all in 1 even tho I had to pay double of what a f2 cost. hope I just didn't give out what I just paid for the pro lol.

Cant wait to take out my At pro for its Maiden Voyage. last time I took a metal detector out for a maiden voyage it was the f75se. Never will forget that day about a year ago this month. Hit silver and gold!! That was 2 very old wheats on the bottom. Sorry for the very bad pics.

How long have u had the Pro and what was ur reason in buying it? TY and HH

Just got it last month. Have not even assembled it yet. We are still snowed in. Bought it because the CTX and T2SE were getting lonely :)

Actually, when I started 13 years ago, I used a Garrett GTI 2500 and liked that. Always wanted to try another Garrett.

No my plans are to learn the machine in the dirt first cause im sure water hunting is harder than dirt fishing. Idk all I know is I have watched a ton of vids on u btube on water hunting and it looks very challenging. For 1 u cant see the coil. And for 2 u gottab guess where the target is to scoop it up... See I know nothing about vwater detecting but I do plan to use the pro in the water before season is over. That's my goal anyways. Thanks HH

Check out Gravediggermax This guy makes it look easy and is very entertaining whether he is detecting, Sharpening knives or just messing around the house. http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfyP0xPCGJW9T_tlhLI6rog

I for one am looking foward to your videos and bet that you will be very entertaining as well.

Tips on ATP

Tn Indian,,best thing to do with the at pro is get out and use it lots of info here
on the best settings..Your soil may be different..so it may be different from what
you read here,,,I went out today with the wife..I bought her a F2 and she
dont like it..too many false signals she says...used the atp and carried the F2
and a (Dont laugh) a HF 50.00 special....she loves it ...beep and dig she says
theres always something there she says....Which is true..Is the reason I now bought her a Tosero...anyway back to story...
she showed me up today big time...
We went to a local park....15 minutes after getting there(what happens)
she pulls a nice(class ring maybe)not sure...trying to read it to possibly find the owner.we hunted about 3.5 hours...lots of clad..
On the way home I say carry me to the spot we were last weekend,is a old growed up place where a old house used to be,,long story short
I get a nice tone with the atp ...dig....stick pointer in hole..rusted nail..
swing coil back over hole loud tone again,,dig deeper..out comes
the sterling silver ring....and 2 more wheats later on...
TN Indian..It just goes to show you you dont have to have
the most exspensive detector they make..just get out and have fun and learn
your machine, next time I take my wife im taking the batterys out of her detector before we go.....

Another deal like the one on the 3030 that you pulled off no one else could have? Sad about the tax return, love to hear you talk about yourself, keep them coming!

TnIndian I thought you just bought the f75?

First day out with the ATP I found my first seated coin. It kicks butt in the rain with wet soil. I tried water detecting twice and it s not only way different than land detecting but it is also way harder and a lot colder! Just bought an. Etrac to stick to the dirt.

Thanks! Yea idk why but most my threads lately has become pretty popular... I don't see what the big deal is lol. Im just like anyone else only difference is I don't find silver on every hunt like most these guys. But all my honey holes r drying up. I have a few sites I been researching tho and as soon as I get a handle on the at pro and business cards in im going to ask permission on these new sites. Thanks and HH.
