As someone who has pulled finger prints for evidence, that gun offers nothing. At best maybe a serial number, but it's a ball of steel rust.

That's what I was thinking. If they find something under that slab they may get more interested in it.

Looks like one of the clones of the British Bulldog pistols. There were French and Belgium versions with folding triggers (all end of the 1800s). The hammer looks low, probably not a pinfire model.
